Valentine’s Day is quickly approaching! I, myself, am hoping to find a book bouquet from my husband waiting for me. What reader doesn’t want more books on any given holiday? But if you’re looking for something to get you in that romantic spirit with a little bit of magic included, I’ve compiled a list to possibly add to your February reads!

Of course, top of my list is going to be A Court of Thorns and Roses by Sarah J. Maas. I know this book (and subsequent series) isn’t for everyone. But literally, this is my Roman Empire. Not a day goes by that I don’t think about Feyre and her adventures. Romance, fae, magic, adventure…what more could you want in a book?

Daughter of Smoke & Bone by Laini Taylor. If you haven’t heard of this series, I encourage you to go check it out. Karou doesn’t really fit in. The blue hair kind of gives her away, as well as her sketchbook filled with monsters. But when a handsome stranger finds her in an alley, Karou is set on a path to learn the truth about who she is. Monsters, Angels, star-crossed lovers…this has all the makings of an intense love story.

A Darker Shade of Magic by V.E. Schwab is one of those books that just pulls you in and refuses to let you go. Kell is one of the last magicians with the ability to travel to different Londons. Officially, he serves the Maresh Empire as an ambassador. Unofficially, he’s a smuggler that will take the smallest pay just to see other worlds. Mystery, magic, and a bit of romance make this a perfect read for your February list.

There are a million more books out there that delve into love and the realms of fantasy, but I hope you’ve discovered a few that will add a touch of wonder to your Valentine’s Day celebrations. Love knows no bounds, and neither do the captivating stories found within these books. So cozy up with a blanket, a cup of your favorite beverage, and travel into these fantastical worlds.
