Friday Poll: Which Bookish Habit Are You Guilty Of?

Happy Friday, fellow book lovers! We all have our little reading quirks—those habits we swear we’ll break but never do. Whether it’s buying more books than we’ll ever read or staying up way too late for “just one more chapter,” we’re all guilty of something!

As readers, we tend to develop certain habits over time, some of which might be a little… questionable. But hey, no judgment here! This is a safe space for bookworms to confess their literary sins. So, let’s come clean—what’s your biggest bookish habit (or vice)? Vote in the comments!

The Guilty Pleasures:

📚 Buying more books than you can possibly read – Your TBR pile is more of a TBR mountain, and yet, somehow, you can’t resist adding to it. “But what if I need it someday?” is your constant excuse.

🔄 Rereading favorites instead of starting new books – You love the comfort of familiar stories, even if your unread books are giving you side-eye from the shelf. Why risk disappointment when you can return to an old favorite?

Judging books by their covers – Who can resist a gorgeous cover? Even if you know better, you find yourself drawn to the prettiest books on the shelf. If it’s got gold foil, embossed lettering, or an aesthetic color scheme, it’s practically begging to be added to your collection.

Staying up way too late reading – “Just one more chapter” somehow turns into 3 AM. You have work in the morning, but who needs sleep when the plot is this good?

Now it’s your turn—drop your vote in the comments and tell me, do you have a bookish habit that’s even worse than these? Maybe you dog-ear pages (gasp!), read the last page first, or hoard multiple copies of the same book? Let’s confess our reading sins together! 😂
