Sundays always feel like the perfect time to slow down, take stock of the week, and of course — check in with my current reads.
Right now, I’m thoroughly enjoying Finding Grace by Loretta Rothschild. It’s the kind of story that quietly pulls you in, full of heart and beautifully drawn characters. Rothschild’s writing is warm and sharp in just the right ways, and I find myself wanting to linger over each chapter rather than race through it. It’s been a genuine joy to read, and exactly what I needed to balance out some of the heavier titles I’ve picked up lately.

On the opposite side of my nightstand, there’s KinnPorshe by Daemi — a book I’ve been struggling to finish. While the premise is bold and there are definitely moments of fun and intrigue, I’m finding it harder than expected to stay connected to the story. It’s one of those reads where I want to be hooked but keep setting it aside in favor of other books. I haven’t given up on it yet, though! Sometimes a book just needs the right mood or the right weekend to finally click.

Looking ahead, I’m really excited to start What Should Be Wild by Julia Fine. I’ve heard it described as dark, lyrical, and slightly eerie — a perfect fit for the moody spring days ahead. I can’t wait to dive into it and see if it lives up to all the quiet praise it’s been getting.

That’s my little shelf check for this Sunday. What are you currently reading? Are you finding new favorites, wrestling through a tricky read, or maybe lining up your next book to fall in love with?
I’d love to hear about it in the comments!
