⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️☆
Some books pull you in with their tension; others win you over with their emotional core. Finding Grace by Loretta Rothschild does both—and does it well. This twisty, character-driven novel serves up secrets, heartache, and tangled relationships in a way that feels indulgent without ever tipping into overkill. Think domestic drama with a literary edge and just enough bite to keep you flipping pages past bedtime.

At the center is Honor, whose seemingly perfect life—adorable daughter, workaholic but loving husband, idyllic home—is quietly unraveling beneath her desire for another child. When a shocking event upends their world, it’s not just her dreams that crack, but the foundation of everything she thought was solid. Years later, a single decision by her husband triggers a chain reaction that tangles the lives of two women in ways that are messy, emotional, and utterly gripping.
Rothschild’s prose is smooth and immersive, and she has a real gift for digging into the gray areas of love, family, and the fallout of long-buried secrets. The story unspools over multiple timelines, balancing suspense with deeply felt emotional beats. There’s plenty here to chew on—particularly around the question of what we owe the people we love versus what we owe ourselves.
That said, the final act teeters on the edge of melodrama, with a few developments that stretch believability. But even then, I was so emotionally invested in the characters that I didn’t mind the leap. It’s the kind of story where you’re not just reading to see what happens—you’re reading to feel what happens.
🍴 Devour or Nibble?
Devour. This one’s for readers who love messy, emotional drama wrapped in a gripping narrative—perfect for a weekend binge or a book club discussion where you know the gloves will come off.
