Books I’m Hoping to Read This Month

This month’s reading plans feel less like a strict TBR and more like a loose agreement I made with myself while fully aware I might break it. The vibes are all over the place, the emotional range is questionable, and honestly? That’s exactly how I like it.

Rather than locking myself into an impossible list, I’ve narrowed things down to a few books that match where my brain is right now — curious, restless, and craving stories that either completely absorb me or quietly mess me up.

Here’s what I’m hoping to get to this month:

The Knight and The Moth

This one has been calling to me in that slow, insistent way — atmospheric, slightly unsettling, and promising the kind of story that lingers after the last page. I’m expecting moody vibes, layered characters, and a world I can sink into when I want to shut everything else out. Whether this ends up being a quiet obsession or a full emotional spiral remains to be seen.

The Dungeon Anarchist’s Cookbook

I’m equal parts intrigued and excited by this one. It feels like the kind of book that leans into chaos, cleverness, and subversion — the sort of read that keeps surprising you just when you think you’ve got it figured out. This is very much a trust the process pick, and I’m ready to let it take me wherever it wants to go.

Never Have I Ever

Sometimes you just know a book is going to poke at your nerves, and this one has that energy. I’m expecting tension, messy characters, and the kind of choices that make you pause mid-page and whisper, “Absolutely not.” Whether this ends up being a quick devour or a slower, side-eye-heavy read, I’m bracing myself.

Will I read all of these this month? Maybe. Will I get distracted by something shiny, dramatic, or completely unplanned? Also maybe. But for now, this is the stack I’m eyeing — and honestly, it feels like a pretty solid representation of my current reading mood.

If you’ve read any of these, tell me what I’m in for. And if your monthly TBR has already gone off the rails… welcome, you’re among friends 📚✨
