The chemistry between the characters felt natural, and I loved watching their relationship develop over time. Bonam-Young has a talent for creating characters who feel like real people rather than perfectly polished romance leads, and that authenticity shines throughout the story.

What surprised me most was how emotional this book became. I went in expecting a sweet romance and found myself tearing up more than once. The author handles themes of vulnerability, self-worth, and human connection with a gentle touch that never feels overly dramatic. Instead, the emotional moments feel earned, making them hit that much harder.

Even with those pacing issues, People Watching remains a charming and emotionally satisfying romance. It’s funny, tender, and packed with the kind of heartfelt moments that remind me why I enjoy contemporary romance in the first place.
